Cinema Arabiyya began simply as a film series curated by film programmer Yasmina Tawil.
The series, now in it’s third year, takes place every other month at Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn, NY. It consists of rare, hard-to-find and under appreciated Arab cinema, selected to challenge and excite curious cinephiles.
But Cinema Arabiyya is growing into something more. A larger ecosystem to support and share Arab cinema in the New York City area…
